This distribution of time includes the hours of independent project work under the supervision of the instructor. This independent work aims to exercise the abilities acquired by the students and to develop strategies of independent learning.
The average class size fluctuates between ten and fifteen students. This intimate class size guarantees individualized attention and stimulates not only the development of linguistic abilities and knowledge, but also the constant interaction among students and instructors.
Summer and Intensive Courses
The Center offers intensive courses by level depending on the necessities of specific groups. These intensive courses have the duration of 8 weeks and a commitment of 24 classroom hours weekly. Also, according to the necessities of the groups, diverse class methodologies could be offered, summer and intensive courses being one of them
Individualized Method
Another type of course that can be offered is the one-on-one tutorial class, which would be directed to interested master's and doctoral students that require individual attention to improve their competence in the Spanish language in order to successfully defend a thesis, whether a doctorate or master's degree, in the Spanish language.
